no wonder it's called present

the word present can mean gift or in reference to the time that is now. but get this, it actually means both when you refer to it as the time being. every moment is a gift in itself. a gift only the receipient, you, can decide what to do with. don't waste time, it's a present.

2006 was an exciting year, let me tell you why:

decisions:
1. befriend my ex & let the romanticism go completely
2. accepted the persuasion of a new affair
3. toughen up because of a painful wreckage

milestones:
1. taking on the graduating year of my course that feels like home
2. being alone again with friends migrating elsewhere
3. made ammends with an estranged friend

humbling experiences:
1. fighting with a good friend & fixing it up
2. struggling with maternal restraints & keeping silent
3. well planned settings gone awry

heartwarming gestures:
1. a birthday party for a lonely soul
2. a positive special treatment from an anti-gay for a knowingly gay
3. being entrusted with a dear secret

acquisition:
1. my baby, cici
2. new found patience
3. the "coming out" hop spirit

one of the longest years of my life.
might not be the best, might not be the worst
but definitely a significant part in my life.

time should not indicate anything else other than time itself
but it does...
when we want to believe, hope & dream
