my friend, Gladys

i have a 21 year old friend, whose name shall be Gladys
i baptised her with that name since it fits her well
or at least better than her real, legal name.
well, i didn't write this to discuss about names
but instead, to narrate how gladys has inspired me.
how she has lived to tell
about a real life hope-filled experience.
(watching too much Daria either has my brain fixated
and influenced by either Daria or
Britney and Quinn's manner of speech,
but i definitely dont sound like myself anymore)
Anyway, as previously stated, Gladys is 21 years old
and last July 20, she was able to bang on fresh meat.
By fresh meat,
i mean an 18 year old hunky basketball player
with a clean face, a decent background,
unventured flesh and one who foots the bill.
now that i have turned into an unmentionable age,
these things matter for the very reason that
we are now at the right age to be able to go through
the right of passage of breaking a guy's hymen
being too old will be gross to do that and
that incident might be considered as pedophilia
and if the deed was done when we were any younger,
it would just be like breaking the stopper together
like as if it were js prom and you had the 'perfect' night
(kids are just waay to idealistic for their own good,
good thing for me, i've been cynical early on)
anyway, back to being on the right age,
this is the time when we would be able to encounter
a young man nudging a friend while whispering
"that's the woman i've lost it with, isn't she foxy?"
or if not that it should be at least this:
"i shagged that hot mamma right there, and she was the best!"
(why should she the best? he has no point of comparison)
it would be so good to be able to copulate
and also be in control the whole time all the time
all you need to have is guts,
anyway there is no reason to be insecure
since he has more reasons to be ashamed of himself.
This all related to hope since now, i am able to envision
the possibilities and the upsides of aging,
the things we are able to do when we were younger
and the memories we can cherish about our youth.
but mind you, kids don't be in a hurry to grow old
not only will it come in time
that you will have to wear eyeglasses,
boring pinstriped pansuits,
undying updo's or everyday ponytails,
generic black leather bags,
callousing black leather 3 inch pumps,
and so much more because you will also
come in time with age spots,
wrinkles and dry skin.
you will never get to appreciate
not having these conditions until you get them.
keep in mind that these life-ruining changes
once attained, will stay on forever
and no amount of cosmetic surgery can erase it.
enough nagging about the disadvantages of old age,
hope remains where wisdom lies
so now all i have to do is to act smart enough
to maximize this age condition,
be like gladys and turn my senority into prowess.
but really?
im only 19 years old, ok... a little bit older...
at least, i know what i still have
and i enjoy it to the fullest that i can
but that gladys story is true and so with the hope awareness
